  1. With all the apartment buildings going up, is there any thing that could be done to convince the ACT government to turn the vacant land on the corner of Gribble and Swain streets into a playground/park?

    • Great comment Simon. I’ve often thought of that myself. There will be literally thousands of people living in this small precinct once all the developments are completed.

      • The block is currently zoned the same way as all the other blocks in this precinct are – CZ2 BUSINESS. Even if it was rezoned to accommodate a park, it will be surrounded on all sides by 10+ story buildings so would struggle to get any sun. I suspect a better option might be to improve access to, and the facilities of, the Yerrabi Pond Park … the GCC would be very keen to get thoughts and ideas on how best to address the huge number of residential units and the lack of green space.
